A man after my own heart.  I even put groceries in the cart in a regulated manner.  I do not consider myself a neat freak, but I do like orderliness.

By size, by weight, by price, by shape, by type? Come on, man! Don't leave us in the dark here!

My marble staunton set, bought it at an antique store about 6-7 years ago for $100. The guy said it was about 50 years old.

That set looks exactly like the type of sets you see in Mexico.  The pieces are the exact same style.   I bought two sets like this for $35 apiece.  I can't say if yours is 50 years old or not, but the board & pieces are still being made that way today.

My set can be seen here:  http://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/my-new-chess-set

The board & pieces are made of marble & onyx, and the onyx pieces do tend to be a bit fragile.  I've had to epoxy a couple pieces back together.  I want to build a felt-lined wooden box to store it in.  Right now it's in storage, but as soon as my kids get a little older I might put it out on display again.

Very interesting board. I like it. Yet, I can't help but wonder...

That Aztec calendar etched onto the board. It reminds me of a hypnotist's pin wheel. I'd bet that if you played this set under candle light and if you used softly spoken, suggestive words as you played that maybe...

I don't know, but once I played the Ruy Lopez on it and it started raining frogs...
