And yeah, I appreciate your feedback. That was indeed what I was referring to. Thanks

Ah that was you? tongue.png

What made you vote those posts down to begin with?

(i don't like that type of queen design, i always just thought it looked odd)

That's totally fine.

Can you explain a little more specifically what part of that general Queen design you don't like? (Is it the crenels, the finial, The head portion's curvature?)

mostly just the top frilly part, i like a more traditional queen piece, i also tend to confuse the king with the queen with piece designs like that, but its just my own un-smartness

but i think its fine, they fit the design of the rest of the pieces quite well

BattleChessGN18

I guess I'm not really sure what the difference is. "Traditional" Staunton design Queens all have the "frilly" things at the top of their heads. (Crenels is the official terminology.)

I don't take anything you say personally. I'm just trying to grasp what you mean; since by default  Queens have it.

Seiiren

i meant something more like the top right image, i basically meant that i don't like the shorter, flatter, more frilly-looking crowns (like the top left)

sorry for not being very clear, im bad with words

ChesswithGautham

Nice set! Can you make one that’s black and white? That’d be a nice sight

That wasn't me, I was just upvoting them back because you pointed that out lol

BattleChessGN18

Oh, I'm sorry! Was that what you mean? lol

My misunderstanding. tongue.png tongue.png

Well, thank you. happy.png

I can definitely render an alabaster White with a tint of ivory. Black is a bit trickier, especially in the program I'm using.

I could do a very deep navy slate-blue, though; it would have a nice illusion of Black. happy.png

Seiiren

COOKIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

i like the bishops, and the way there made. very elegant.

Pmuthunga

Job well done. I am very impressed with how good looking the knight piece actually looks. Splendid!

BattleChessGN18

Oh wow! I'm definitely very encouraged and uplifted by your guy's compliments.

The constructive criticism of a few members were also very helpful. Thank you guys, especially.

How would you guys like it if... I somehow made these real, physical chess sets to be sold on Amazon and/or Ebay? happy.png

Seiiren

i think its a great idea

BattleChessGN18

So, at least two members mention that the Bishop should be taller by a slight. Also, the King's finial should be thicker, because it was too "flat"/thin.

I think what I'm going to do is thicken the shaft of the Bishop; not necessarily make him taller. The heights have been measured to create the aethetically-pleasing "height curvature" visual affect. I think what people are really saying (though, I couldn't be wrong) is that, for the Knight's physical thickness, the Bishop looks too small in comparison; due to being so thin. So, I can make him a little thicker. (After all, Bishops of the royal family were pretty jolly-plump; the King fed him well in those days. heh)

And, of course, the Finial, when manufactured, will have a thicker appearance than what showed up in these 3D digital models. happy.png

COOKIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

i think that would be cool! i´d definitely buy them if they were.
