wonderful and not wonderful at the same time
My parents think i have a chess addiction and want me to quit chess, is that true?

like thats unfair like they are holding me back so much
If you focus on chess (let's say to the detriment of school or relationships) then you'll have regrets later in life.
If you really love chess, but you're forced to focus on school or relationships or something else, then you'll also have regrets later in life.
Your parents understand this and make practical decisions for you... in most cases the kid isn't going to love chess for 20 years, and in most cases the regret over those other things is greater. ... so the best choice is to take away chess for now.
Knowing this sort of reasoning isn't going to make it a fun experience, but that's just how it is.

Show your parents this thread and that might change there mind
Umm... it would probably only prove to them that he's obsessed

so i should stop playing 4-6 hours of chess?
Cut it back to 3 hours max otherwise, your parents will make you stop playing

I think the practical thing is that kids do not play chess that much, yes.
IMO limiting your chess time is reasonable, or even taking away chess completely for a short time is reasonable.

i anaylyze them and think what are his plans? why did he do those moves? whats the purpose? and its kinda hard to explain but i studied learned and played the english when i was in a losing streak and won my elo back

ok i guess ima play 2-3 hours a day i guess
I'm confused. From your first post, it sounds to me that your parents have already issued the ultimatum. So if you play 2-3 hrs a day, you'll probably be grounded completely?

Why not study a bit more, get ahead for your grades, while also picking up some chess books and study those as well? Say three hours more of reading/study per day, and just three hours of chess (for now), with the studying completed FIRST. If they see you reading more, they may stop worrying about chess so much.
Likewise, if you do better on maths, you can always say it was chess and studying, and that maths is easy thanks to chess (but make sure you have the results to back that up).
Here is a resource to help your studying of chess: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/subject/1677
A friend reckons that with six hours a day you will make GM eventually, I'm just worried about your grades and that you will lose the time to play if you are punished. Avoid being punished, and good luck with your growth and development.

my grades are good only get like 75s or 70s on geometrey (cause geometerey is so hard) but for other maths i get 85s to 95s percent
no im the first in the family tree lol
That's wonderful. I wish you the best.
