My rapid and bullet is 2100, but my blitz is 1800!?

Is it just me or is blitz just so much harder?
Yes
I don’t know, I just know that you are doing much better than me. I guess you understand how to play bullet, which is all about pre moving and time management, while in blitz you are playing normal chess - fast, but still chess. In rapid the pool is probably smaller, so you have a better rating than in blitz.
My blitz is 2200, in bullet I’m not physically so good to move quickly, so unlike many others my bullet is weaker than my blitz, in rapid, I didn’t play a lot, but I feel it’s saturated by cheaters, otherwise I believe my rapid should be my best performance and I had to simply pass 2300 in that many games that I already played.
So I think it’s not that blitz is hardest for everyone but for most people blitz and then bullet are the hardest one. Rapid pool is not strong, many just don’t play it (since they don’t want to bother with engines).

I would like to play rapid, but as you said, the chance to get a cheater is probably high.

Man last time I saw you I was 2200 and you weren’t, now the roles are reversed 😔
I also like rapid the most, but it’s a very unfair pool.
@B1ZMARK cool :-) I’m almost always above 2200, rarely I go below but I’m never there for a long time (at most a day). Don’t worry you will be back soon.
I actually play a good chess 😀 in our local club I simply smash 2000-2100 players (dwz) in rapid but in blitz we are almost equal (2000 players are still inferior but 2100 players are equal or sometimes better in blitz, in rapid they usually stand no chance against me).

My local club people are all just bad. I suffer in longer time controls due to a defect in my mind I like to call “laziness”.
If I see a not losing move I play it.
I’m lucky that we have 2-3 titled players and quite a few over 2000, even third team plays with 2000 players. I wasn’t a club player, I was playing online, I started club last year but then corona business destroyed it. I used to think for long period of time in my work, so I have no problem with longer games (still I’m relatively fast).

Yeah I want to win, but I don’t wanna win over the course of a couple hours. So then I lose.
Being young does have its downsides.

I don’t see too many cheaters in rapid. Most of the time it’s fine, and if they cheat you get free points.
Smart cheaters blunder one or twice just to let you know they are humans
Blitz is only harder at the lower levels. You are probably just much better at rapid.
