I was quite surprised to find this game while analysing the game of my own (in my own game I played as black):

Yeah, I think he tried this twice. He lost to a lower rated player and drew a lower rated player.

However he probably did achieve his opening aim, which was to show great disdain for his opponent lol.

Maybe you're right. If I was played this by a titled opponent I'd indeed felt not too much respected...

He played that stuff countless times in blitz and bullet.

I guess so. This time, however, it was in a standard game and against a strong GM (currently in the first 50).

There are 5 games in chessbase.com's database, but tons more on ICC where he played that junk in blitz and bullet.

Naka scored 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses as White. The last time he played it in standard chess was 2005.

It's junk and he knows it. He also knows that he's a better tactician than just about any of his opponents.

Nakamura is very weak player who doesnt know basic openings. No wonder he is regularly schooled by real over the board masters like Anand and Gelfand.

I wish I could get schooled by Anand the way he schools Nakamura. Naka leads the personal series 11-3 with 15 draws.

He's even with Grischuk.

Ah, I misread it. You said Gefland. Yes, Gelfand has a plus score against Naka. But Naka is beginning to rectify that. He's won two of the last three games, the other was a draw.

And Naka just beat Anand again today. Such a weak player.

By pointing to this game, I meant that Nakamura, being as strong a player as he obviously is, happens to play such openings. I didn't intend to suggest that the fact of playing it once or twice makes him a weak player (which would be an outright absurd in this case).

"She"?

I don't really care whether someone is transgender or wants to crossdress in real life. But I do have a problem with an internet troll who seems to use gender confusion just for a reaction online. The internet is proving that English really does need a gender-neutral pronoun.

Agreed, Daimonion!
