If my opponent ever commented to me that he "hates Americans." Then I would just assume that he meant that he hates South Americans. Because come on, nobody can ate Americans from the USA. Everybody knows that we are the greatest country on this planet. USA! USA! USA!

idk if you're being ironic or not but maybe, just maybe, your comment is the reason why ppl worldwide generally dislike americans (the less intelligent ones at least).

I used to ignore the comments. However I think of other players and how they may be impacted by negative comments. There needs to be some accountability.

Some comments directed at me include the following .
“Die of cancer”

“ I hate Americans”

“American filth”

” All speed and nothing else”

”No skill”

”All speed and nothing else” This one sounds familiar. In my case, I received the comment from none other than one of my favourite content creators, Nelson Li Lopez. It seems like even public figures aren't immune to this sort of behaviour.

He said this in a youtube video or in the actual chat box during one of your games ? that seems out of character as he is one of the better and less neurotic chess content providers.

One thing that does amaze me is that even at the very top level, the Grandmasters and super Grandmasters, all seem to suffer from chess rage, you'd think that the further up the food chain you go that the more the players would be more adept at being psychologically conditioned to deal with losses and tilt.

I've turned chat off in games so I don't have to listen to any of the trash talkers or sore losers.

Trolling is part of chess. I think if someone is winning big, he should write “ maybe stick to checkers, connect four is fun as well”…! Why are people so intolerant, relax people. Chess isn’t that Serious.

Trash talking is part of chess, but I think a line has to be drawn when people start calling you trash because of your nationality or telling you to die of cancer, don't you?

He said it in the chat box. I know, I was pretty surprised as well. He was tilted and had lost around 200 points that week (in fact, I was in a very similar situation myself at the time); that must've gotten to him.

TR0LLKlNG

Weaklings. Trash talking makes things fun.

🤯💥🔫

When did everyone in the world become a whining little b*tch?

Christ.
