National Master: Ask Me Anything

- Played casually as a kid
- 13 years old ~1000, practicing more seriously, 1-3 hrs/day plus tournaments (1000 --> 1700 1 yr)
- Serious practice as a teenager: ~100 chess books, 1,000-2,000+ hrs puzzles, etc
- Adjustment to slow chess, NM at 18: How I Became a National Master
all of that just for NM? you should have done poker instead.

Can I make it to 2000 at the end of the year, if I am currently 1349 rapid and 1307 blitz. I have joined almost one month ago.
Generally, people don't make progress that quickly. If you are very young, play a lot, and are underrated, that might be possible or realistic.

books for a stagnated mediocre 2200 rapid chess.com player?
1) Thinking Inside the Box
2) Aagaard's other GM Prep books after (starting with Positional Play)
3) Quality Chess series 'Chess Classics'

Best YouTube channels for a person around my level (2k rapid)? Seems to be so much beginner content but not enough for advanced. Btw nice to see your doing this, rare to have advice forums like these on the forums.

Get used to playing. Aagaard said that nerves turn into excitement when the game starts

Also are the opening prep courses like those lifetime repertoires on chess able worth it?
I've bought some and learned from them without regrets, for what it's worth.

I want to play with you, blitz. Just want to improve alittle bit, or rapid.
I'm available to play in a trial lesson:
