Necessary to have real name under FIDE?

Is it necessary to have your real name as a player under FIDE? Could you change your name afterwards in your career? (For example: You be a popular Grandmaster. could you change your name after that. and what if you got your real name changed?) Please tell if anybody knows... Thank you very much
