Need Chess Help Website
Have you considered a really primitive, low-tech method for improving your game such as reading a chessbook? If so, here's a few recommendations:
My System by Nimzovitch
The Most Instuctive Games of Chess Ever Played & Logical Chess Move by Move both by Irving Chernev
Start with "Chess for dummies" (Eade) and "How to beat your dad at chess" (Chandler). It's all you will ever need.
This site has it all, mostly for free
The books mentioned above are all good, but I humbly suggest you leave "My System" for quite a while yet.
The most common advice is that learning tactics is a must. Use the Tactics Trainer and/or chesstempo.com.
Other than that, I suggest you read articles on the concepts/principles of opening play (i.e. how to develop) and some basic endgame skills. Have you tried the articles on this site for beginners? Also, check out Dan Heisman's articles (chesscafe.com & his own site).
Play slow games rather than blitz so that your brain has time to remember the vast amount of information we all try to cram in.
Rinse, lather, repeat. And enjoy.
BTW, "look at the whole board" is brilliant advice unless you NEVER leave a piece hangin.

Hi! My rating is only about 1050, and I'd like to increase that. Can someone suggest a GOOD website that talks about opening, middlegame, and end game, without it being too complex or too simple? Some sites only offer advice like "look at the whole board"... USELESS! I know a little bit about positional play, and I'd like to further my education on that...
Of course, the site must have quite a bit of info, else I'd been searching for a new site.
Thank you.
