Need some help with Houdini (Arena)

I'm using the Houdini 3 engine on Arena, but I'm not very familiar with the options of the program. So far I can get it to analyze positions but it will only try to calculate the nr 1 best move. Can anyone with more knowledge of Houdini or Arena explain how to get it to list the best 3 or 4 (or more) moves in a given position instead?

Multi-PV.

Right-click in the engine analysis area, and from the menu select "Multi PV Mode" and select how many lines of analysis you want to see.

I wonder if multi-pv only affects the output or if it also affects how the engine analyses. I could imagine that it forces to follow lines that otherwise would have been pruned.

Thanks a lot. It never occurred to me to right-click anywhere, so I couldn't find this option.

Right clicking saves mouse clicks, but you can still get there through the menu system.

Engines --> Engine 1 --> Configure

then change the Multi-PV setting.
