Once a nepo fan always a nepo fan

Two good wins for Ian, he's looking like the strongest player. Ian appears to have become an even better player after the experience of his first challenge for the WC.

Ian might win the candidates if you see the way he is going playing 

The problem with Ian winning is we've already seen what Magnus vs Nepo looks like. He was the weakest challenger for Magnus' title by far, so if Nepo does win the candidates and Magnus makes good on his threat to not defend his title unless it's against Firouza then Nepo will just look more like a placeholder champion by default.

There is always the posibility he plays better. Or that Fide pays Carlsen more to play the match as it is better for the game to have the champion attempt to defend the title.
