Hello, welcome to chess.com. I'm John, nice to meet you. Have fun playing.
New guy, saying hi!

This thread is actually re-affirming my faith in man. I also think that the chess AND forum community on this site is one of the nicer, more welcoming ones on the internets that I've ever seen. Much more laid back and friendly than Wikipedia, for instance.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay, DarkKnight from the UK.

I must admit i'm having my first live match versus a player named Supernevik and i'm really enjoying it ^^ It's sad to say, but i'm 21 years old and very very few folk my age play where i live...and so a live chess site such as this one is a godsend for a player such as myself.
And in response to your statement, Johnmusacha, i'm sure i'll enjoy my time here as well, and thank you for all your warm welcomes :)

Welcome to the site! Great place to play and get great info.
You can find OTB chess players at some interesting places. Schoolastic clubs sometimes do stuff on certain days that are not affiliated with a school, so all players can be allowed to play. There are quite a few players at Barnes and Noble book stores in my area. I find quite a few players at the poolhall I frequent. Just carry your board around and you might be surprised who you find to play.
Hey guys, whats up?
Just thought i'd introduce myself, since i'm new to chess.com :) i'm new to the site but have a lil experience in chess, aiming to learn as i go though :)
Anybody wants a friendly game, or if anybody has any questions, feel free to add me or just ask away :)
