There is a problem though with Swiss tournaments. A player will often have more blacks or whites because of the necessity to match up players on the same number of points after each round.
After two or three rounds there would be quite a different number of scores...although of course for the sake of a Swiss style tournament, the handicap scoring could be applied at the end to adjust the old style scores.
And heres my opinion on draws - this happens when both players are equally strong an theres not much u can do about it . These days theres just a lot of very strong players so lots of draws is kinda inevitable with this 1 1/2 or 0 scoring system .
As suggested above u could add financial bonuses for the win but heres a better solution ..
With my simple just make the sore out of more approach - I think out of ten is prob best - u
can start making rules like a draw is lets say - 2 for both players . Or u could award extra for the win - say 12 for a black win and only 11 for a white win .
It would probably take some sort of maths genius to work out the correct scoring system - but i think ive made my point .
