Agreed. It was fine as it was. If it isn't broken don't fix it.

This new format is awful. Why did they do it?
Arena tournaments suck. I tried them on Lichess and hated them. I've just returned to chess.com are all live tournaments arena now? If so, I will not be a happy camper.

I think that arena tournaments or poor because
a) ... you are pretty much guaranteed to NOT win a tournament if you take the allotted time and play well, and
b) completing the 1/0 3-Check tournament MEANS not being able to compete in the 3/0 3-Check tournament, because the latter starts the instant the former ends.
.. Was this some 'staff member's, idea, of a Bad Joke ? .. Perhaps because, his or her 'hot' 'romantic other', dropped them {?} .. As in, striking back, at the world !?
In any event ; I played my 2nd abreviated 'arena' game of today, {not knowing, what it was all about !?} ; And, in both of my games .. A notice appeared : 'Game aborted, by the server ; On about, the 14th or so move !?
.. Certainly, this Aint, the 'New-and-improved' tourney idea ; Over the two, 10 minute-game, {rating category}, tournaments, previously offered. -- Another Unhappy, 'Gold Star' member.
Am I the only one who thinks that this new arena idea is ridiculously awful?
