new turnbased time control..

instead of giving 24 hours for each move.
I think each player should have 720 hours for the whole game.
which is 30 days.

I think it is kind of wrong to automatically get 24 hours(or even 3 days) if you spent 23 hours and 59 on the first move.

therefore I think it would encourage everyone to play faster on the first moves in order to get more time on more important moves. no vacation time needed. since you could maintain time yourself. just play faster on some moves - and you have time enough.

Nah, many people just come on here once a day for an hour or 2.

Not one of your best ideas.

But if that is the time limit, how can you fault anyone for taking the time?

I am blaming anyone for taking the time - the system allows it. it is part of the tournament right now. I am just saying the "new" time control could encourage some to move faster. the 10 first moves could last 480 hours right now if both players used the time control

by the way if both players had 720 for the whole game. I wouldn't mind a player using 700 hours for the first move(s).
