1 rule evil gets to be black

Hey! That's racist! Not all blacks are evil! To tell you the truth, I don't think anybody is really offended. Anyways, don't the bad guy's always get the advatage but the good guys win anyways (or at least, that's how it is in th stories, in reality, the bad guys always win). Should the bad guys be white?

no I was thinking like the dark side you just made it seem racist

Actually, I was just joking about the racism. Well, I guess you have a point that the evil side is generally considered dark. Though decided which a person is is pretty hard because nowadays a lot of story characters are either neutral, change sides, or it is unclear which side they are in the first place.

USA vs World  Starting with the country that has the most listed players other than the USA.  Winner takes on next highest listed players from the next county.

hmmm....something based on musical tastes.  eg. metal -v- rap, rock -v- classical , jazz -v- pop/gypsy/techno/funk (someone has got to like it right?)

Serious chess.

Must join before move 3. Must be over 1500.

No engines! No hijackers. (People who vote to resign on move 1 or vote for blunders deliberately.)

How about different time settings? Maybe a 10 min. per move or something. I also think YelenaDembo vs. chess.com or maybe another Titled person.

Just make it believers (all faiths)  vs the infidels/heathens , problem solved.

 What about believers vs. atheists?

And the Agnostics will join in after decisive material advantage has been establishedWink

We can stop with the US vs. the world requests.  Haven't we had enough of that in real life?

That list was a little overboard but there were some interesting ones. I have added one or two of my own.

Kasparov (fans) vs. Fischer (fans)

Science fiction vs. Fantasy

These would be fascinating to see the outcome of.

Also, the subject of geographic influences on chess has been brought up here before. I wonder how that could be measured?
