Hello, I'm trying to achieve a rating of around 1200-1500, by the end of the year can y'all look at my archived games and give me some tips and tricks. I would greatly appreciate it.

Start developing all your pieces before going on the attack and you'll be one step further ahead your current caliber opponents.

Get Amateur's Mind by Jeremy Silman. It's an easy read and very entertaining.

AM won't get anyone to Master but it teaches some really good concepts - like how to use a space advantage properly instead of throwing it away for nothing at the wrong time.

Also I should have mentioned the video library here on chess.com is beyond superb.

The "Amazing Games For Beginners Series" is excellent.. it's like fine wine of chess basics.
