No Draws and No Resignations

As new to Chess, I think that the new rule that states no draws in competitions should be extended to include no resignations.  I was just following a game in one of the Chess.com Events competition where white resigned with at least 50% of material still on the board, including his Queen and two Rooks.  Surely in order to make the game more exciting the no draws rule needs to be extended to no resignations – what do you think ?

I feel like there is no material advantage that is overwhelming, or no person that is absolutely destroying them, no resignation should be allowed, as there is still a chance they can come back. However, if someone has taken all the special pieces, like queens, rooks, horses etc. and has a massive material advantage, a resignation should be allowed, as the game is already over by then. That’s my thoughts, but I would like to see other’s opinions, as I am at a very low elo rating.

You do realize that the no draw thing was an April fools joke, right?

WOW what a response.  I probably am new to Chess but what I do know is that the top players earn money.  The leap from amateur to professional has already been made.  Make it more exciting, it will increase the audience and the money will go up.  There is no reason why top Chess players should not rank alongside say top Golfers for instance.  I also think that the Chess governing bodies want to spread its appeal by endorsing films like 'The Queens Gambit'.  Also, look at the Chess.com website its becoming more and more market orientated.  I have a sneaky feeling that players with far bigger ratings than me will agree.
