No Rematch - Why bother playing live??

I don't consider it unfriendly when someone declines a rematch. Also, I decline rematches if I suspect use of outside help (they'll probably lean on it more in the 2nd round to recoup their precious ELO points.)
Playing against a bot differs from playing against a human. I simply prefer people, with their non-engine driven moves.
What do you feel that you learn from playing the same player 3-5 times over playing against new people? Great, you learned 5 things from player "A" however, you will eventually play against others in the future and learn the same thing. While you learned 5 things, had you played 5 others you potentially could have learned 5 other things. You learn by playing, studying, and analyzing games played by anyone, not simply because it is the same player. I am prone to accepting rematch's unless I have something to do, tired, or something was played that requires time to figure out so I understand it.
To "accept" is the decent thing to do. All of the excuses that you are talking about are total bulsh****. Do not have time - if you have 3-5 min for a game, you for sure have the same for a rematch. Loving playing diff people - if the 1st game your opponent is playing white, the rematch he will be with black "like a diff person". I am holping that they will made the mode "best of 3".

I used to accept rematches if I had a fun conversation with my opponent, but now that I have disabled in-game chat, there is no reason for me to want do so anymore.
There is nothing "honorable" in accepting a rematch. It's a personal choice.

Those claims are just straight out dumb. Too bad we got lives outside of this website. It doesn't matter if you accept it or not, its a personal choice. If you do "fail", try play someone else! I ain't saying that you just shouldn't rematch, I'm just saying that its a personal choice! If they accept, great! If they don't, it doesn't mean they don't love chess or something, it just means that they just don't want to play! For a lot of people, chess is just a hobby, and I know that. Instead of blaming people sitting in their room being couch potatoes, instead some people here have a job. Work. Save money for their family. Why bother playing live, instead of just playing bots? Because bots are programmed, and after a while they might get pretty predictable! When you play online, you find people your rating, and that's why people play online.
I'm sorry if you don't get rematches because this is "not" a chess loving community, but instead of blaming it on other people, how about playing the game of chess. Rematches aren't the end of the world if you don't get them, and it would be much better to just move on if they don't accept the rematch. Nothing wrong in sending one, but if you whine about people not accepting rematches, then that's not their problem, because they got more things to do than play random people online in chess and rematch them when they don't have time.

The ceaseless, eternal protest against the foul Goblins of internet chess---people who won't rematch.
" You shall NOT pass! You will stay for a rematch! Or two, or five!"
( SnowDog attempting to tackle an opponent from a game, that he, Dog, just lost, and force him to rematch; but instead, he misses, hangs on to his pant leg and gets dragged along the floor---allegedly.)
I enjoy a good challenge. And a good puzzle.
If I fail, I want to try again.
At least best of 3.
But no one in this community does rematches.
Makes me wonder... why do you play live people in the first place? Why not just play a bot.
If you want to play humans, you will never learn or get better if you don't play a few games.
Is there another chess community besides chess.com that has more friendly chess-loving people?
