not gaining rating points

Ever since the new update every game that I play (10|0) doesn’t change my ELO. I noticed that after every win or loss it says I lose or gain about 3 or 4 times as many ELO points as I normally would have, then the next game my ELO goes back to what it was before like I never even played the last game. Anyone know what’s going on?

No idea but I have exactly the same problem. Playing chess no longer makes sense.

10|0 is now rated under the rapid pool. Your rating deviation (RD) value in rapid is high so your rating swings in the pool will be larger until you get more games in that pool completed and that RD value starts decreasing.

Actually, that is the point. 10 minute games are now rapid. The OP´s rating HAS changed. Only it´s rapid rating not his blitz that has gone up.

The issue is that 10|0 rating changes show in your Rapid stats but the rating that shows next to your name during a 10|0 game is still your blitz rating so it looks like your rating is not changing. When you win or lose it actually shows your blitz rating changing on the end game screen but it is not in fact changing. I think they just haven’t fully implemented the change yet so the display is out of synch with the reality of how they are counting wins losses for 10|0.

I'll double check that but my understanding is that was fixed.

I'll double check that but my understanding is that was fixed.
It works correctly in the beta under both Play (BETA) and Play > Live Chess. Both show my Rapid rating and show the change in rapid.
I'll have to see about getting it tested outside of beta.

Tested out of beta as well and it appears to load the correct ratings
Me too and suddenly I’m playing people 500 points below me all the time, wtf?

Still not working for me. When I choose a ten minute game it shows my Blitz rating next to my name. If I win it shows points added to that rating on the “You Win” screen but if I go to stats my blitz rating hasn’t changed but my rapid rating has increased.

Try clearing your browser cache. But your blitz rating will not change with 10|0 anymore. In my testing it loads the right rating and shows correctly, both in and out of beta and in and out of the tow playing areas.

That said, the apps may not have been updated to load the correct ratings yet on the interfaces. Which app are you using? I can verify on Android to see what it shows.

I just verified the newest version of the Android app works with the new changes; I am on the beta channel so I'm not sure if it is beta only: v 4.1.11-210196

I checked on both my iPhone iOS 13.7 and iPad and get the same result. Looked on my windows pc and it is working correctly.

To be more clear the problem of displaying my blitz rating when playing a 10 minute game and appearing to update that rating on the “you win” or “you lost” screen seems to be a bug with iOS devices only. The summary stats (but not the detailed stats info) also appear to be incorrect on the iPad.
