pong pong i want you to try something if you will ,

i see you have ungraded at 960

i think you should try it but do not rush your moves as 960 requires thought from move 1

if you win great , but the result is irrelevant ,

its the undertaking that is key

That's exactly right - I heard somewhere that blitz is just hope chess. Also my friends don't recommend this site either, they are quitting. I won't play on here as often, deciding this before I posted this thread.

Maybe I'm just the patzer? Strong opposition just means they will capitalise quickly on blunders. This tournament was a shock for me - last year it was u1600 which I played in (I got a pretty good result), and I entered the same tournament this year carelessly overlooking the new rating cutoff.

I've been taking a break and my results are getting worse... so I need to do something, whether it makes me cry or not. Analysing my games brings up bad memories because I lost, but if that's the way to go I will probably shed 100 ml of tears to improve 100 rating points.

*** I AM CLOSING THIS ACCOUNT IN THE NEAR FUTURE ***

1) APPARENTLY I CANNOT GET HELP FROM A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE WHEN IT COMES TO CHESS.COM ACCOUNTS

2) I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ABUSE FROM THE LOWLIFES HERE

512602now and ChessOfPlayer, you have been reported to Chess.com staff.

Sadly this site is turing into yahoo chess.  You get the juveniles, and e-thugs here.  If you want serious chess go to ICC.

I think you are lieing.

I believe you are a fraud.

I can by you putting a fake B-day.

I can by you putting a fake profile name.

However, I do not believe the rest of your story.

You have resigned won games in your profile page.

You have admited to having 2 accounts.

Which is considered cheating and against the rules!

You claim you have cryed than tell people the amount of tears you will shed?

I will probably shed 100 ml of tears to improve 100 rating points.

You claim you are quitting?

You have played 21 games on your "current account".

Frankly, You can't quit something you haven't started!

You claim your friends have told you not to play here?

Also my friends don't recommend this site either, they are quitting.

I won't play on here as often, deciding this before I posted this thread.

Well if you decided "this before posting here" Why even post at all?

Why not post this topic "on your new fancy chess site".

All these things make me think you are nothing more than a troll wanting attention.

Which leaves me wondering one question!

I suggest you also trying studying from books. Many players improve from reading books. I suggest you get Chess Tactics for Champion by Polgar.  For me this is one of the best tactical book for the level it was made for. The tactcics problems are diverse and instructive. Also get Winning Chess Strategy for Kids by Coackley. Don't let the tittle fool you as it is a great book.

Improvement can take time, so don't be discourage. Just keep studying and playing.

512602now, you can't be more pathetic than this, can you? If you want to spam threads with your nonsense, then go spam elsewhere.

I don't understand why people ask such questions?

As many have said, it depends on the work pupil does. How hard and how motivated he/she is.

Others guesses of how good one can be, is just guesses and nothing more. They don't now anything how good a person can become in chess. Period.

Sorry, but this is ABSOLUTELY the way to go.

And note that analysing your games doesn't just mean thinking about it when you drift off to sleep and then hoping for the best. Analysing it means busting out the game score, replaying the moves ( on a computer), and having the CPU point out the critical areas where your decision making when wrong.

And then, you can't just leave it at that. Sometime later, you really have the REVIEW that analysis.

Until you do that, there's almost no point in playing in tournaments, honestly, as you're not gaining anything from it.

Maybe you've already reached your highest potential position and improving any more is out of the question? I'd love to get to 1450 level! (Currently a 'shameful' 1300)

Spot on. Since I'm getting comments that I'm doing things against the rules, I'm going to quit chess.com. I have already changed my username, so I can't change it any more.

I might save all the analysed games into a separate chessbase database, then combine all the games I played from that month into another database "January 2016", then replay that the next month and hopefully time will do its healing when it comes to tears while studying losses.

No!

No, no!

No, no, no!

No, no, no, no!

No, no, no, no, no!

My eventual goal is to get to at least 1800 rating. Eventually I may want a title and a 1900-2000 rating.

1) How can you assume my profile name is fake?

2) Nature called at that time and I did not want to be rude and force my opponent to wait while I timed out.

3) No, it's not my 2 accounts. Someone I am close with has a diamond membership.

4) My friends in real life have been telling me chess.com is no good, unfortunately. One of them has a rating of around 1800.

5) I've been getting abuse on the forums and yes this is becoming yahoo chess. I'm switching to ICC and Chess Tempo.

6) ICC and Chess Tempo have no forums like this to discuss anything about chess. Not that I know of. If I'm wrong, tell me.

Last, but not least, you ask me the question,

"Bro, do you even chess?"

How pathetic is this? Asking me do I even chess?
