Ever since i started to play online chess my blitz has become brutal,Not too long ago i was above 1400 now i'm barely 1200+.But in saying so my online rating has improved to 1730 just feel fustratrated in my blitz games as i seem to be dropping queens left right and centre.Should i just continue with online game and forget about blitz?Because at the end of the day blitz really doesn't help with our over the board games.

im going to take a 1500 blitz player over a 1500 online/standard player on this website anyday.

the 1500 blitz is going to play WAY better on the board.

Blitz and Online chess are sorta 2 different games with 2 different sets of goals.

That's the thing Blitz was my favourite at one stage but when i started to play rated games in my local chess club i was losing because i was playing too fast,This why i stopped and started to play online games so i could take my time which it did improve my club games,But since i started playing Blitz again i just seem to be brutal at it when once i thought i was ok.

Because slow chess develops good chess habits. Most of which have to be abandoned when you play blitz in favor of beating the clock.

Blitz and rapid chess involve a lot of smoke and mirrors, while standard chess is a quest for truth.
