Sorry if this is clearly visible in an obvious place I should have checked, but I am new here and the search function didn't help.

When an opponent requests a draw, how does one accept/ reject it?  I assume to accept it I would also press the 'offer draw' button, but how does one refuse?  Leave a text perhaps, or send a message to the user?

Thanks- sorry again if this is covered elsewhere.

PS- It's the turn based online version here on the site

u press accept draw or no draw. there is button 2 decline when u have been offerd a draw... get what i mean?

I got an email saying a draw had been offered, but when I clicked the link (or navigated there independantly), there is no decline button (that I see), the draw/ resign buttons are as before.

It's above the box for messages and moves.

Yes, indeed when there is a draw offered, you can click above the message box ´accept´ or ´decline´. When you offered a draw, there is the text ´You have a pending draw offer´. But you don´t get a message when the draw offer is declined.

Thanks for the replies, but it's just not there (or at least not being displayed on my screen).  It sounds like it should be obvious, but above the message (notes, moves, details) box there is just the name of the game, start date, and banner ads.  Could the offer have been withdrawn before I answered it?

My opponent's clock is running, I am content to wait for their move.  I just don't want to lose/ draw a game because of my own lack of experience.

After you make a move, the offer is declined. This happened to me once.

That must be it.  Probably checked my email after I moved, and didn't notice it at the time of the move.  Thanks for the info, and putting up with my newbie question.
