Would using the online simulated 3D chessboard on this site help improve my visualization of playing on a real board with real pieces?

I feel like it would be better. I would love a real 3D board for the app. Playing the 3D board on the site version feels more real and seems to help me before playing my neighbor at his house on a real board.
