Both are equally good, which is better for you is a matter of personal preference.

Generally speaking 1.e4 leads to tactical and sharp play, while 1.d4 tends to bring about more positional and quieter play. So it's up to you.

Very True what girolamo said e4 tends to lead to open game, but there are a few times when you'll see e4 closed game not a lot of times though very few. But it really depends on your style of play girolamo is correct about that.
