Alright, who here knows me? Doesn't matter much unless you know I do a bit of genius.com. Anyways, there you can tag somebody in a comment or forum post (@username or @group) to have it pop in their notifications. Here, someone posts in a forum and all you know is how many posts were added.

Everybody tags others there by doing the blockquote reply or by tagging the number, but that changes.

I propose to use @username or blockquote rather than numbers. Everybody will still use them, but I want clarity an perfection rather than nonsensical wasted thought.
