As a young chess player, I've recently been playing more and more chess both in leagues and on chess.com. I also just updated to a Diamond membership, allowing me access to unlimited tactics trainer and chess mentor. Unfortunately, I think that I have been 'over-playing' the game of chess. I'm starting to become extremely aggravated during league and tournament games, and chess is starting to become more of a mental burden than a fun hobby. I would love suggestions on how to remedy this, because I really do enjoy the game, and my team appreciates me, but I'm also at a point where I can't back out and I can't take TOO large of a break, due to matches every week. Help!!
Wow, becoming extremely aggravated with chess is serious when you want to enjoy chess. But in reality, it's not chess, but that you have overloaded yourself with activities of chess, of which you seem well aware. I am waiting to learn what advice you receive about this. I looked into joining a group, but I know I do not want to spend that much time. I spend too much time just reading forums. I only joined chess.com to improve my chess and nothing more, but I made the mistake of checking out the forums. I don't regret it, however.
My suggestion would be to do how one does any downsizing of any thing that has one overburdened, and that is just start eliminating things, such as, when one match is finished don't start another one.
