Overdoing Puzzles

Is overdoing puzzles a real problem? Does that trick us to overlook every tactical combination as winning? I see that many chess players(including myself) have a lot of rating in puzzles but half of that in rapid games. What to do? I have always blundered in Greek Grift sacrifices, as my opponent was able to defend himself and win with a bishop up for a pawn. How to see that?

Puzzle ratings are inflated.

Chess is complex, and there is a lot to learn, with a limited amount of time to learn the various things. Devoting to much of the available time solving puzzles, neglects other things also needed to advance

You don't see it, you study it, learn to understand it, and then along with anything else you have learned that you do not play in a while, you go back occasionally and review the things you have learned.

Edited to add >> The Greek gift only has the possibility to work if Bxh7+ Kxh7, but if Kh8 all you win is a pawn. If Kxh7 it fails if your pieces are not in position to follow up on the attack, and you lose your Bishop. There also are positions which you can win a Queen, but with understanding you can mate instead.
