Soltis Pawn structure chess

VS

Marovic Dynamic Pawn play in chess

Which one is better and why? I don't have much freetime.

Thanks

Its like comparing apples with oranges.  The Marovic Book that would be similar to the Soltis Pawn Structure Chess would be Understanding Pawn Play in Chess.  I see little to chose between the two, I have a personal preference for Marovic's book.  Dynamic Pawn Play in Chess is a more advanced book, the title is also somewhat misleading as it has very little to do with pawn moves.

Well, if you don't mind pirating, you can get pretty much any book for free, so I'm not sure the link is a make-or-break point in either book's favor.

The Soltis book is a kind of introductory, fairly shallow look at a number of common pawn structures, but it's pretty good for what it offers.

The Marovic book isn't about common pawn structures in the same way.  It's one book of a four book series that happens to deal with a handful of pawn related topics.

I'd say the Soltis is more of an intro.  And the Marovic series would make for good follow up material later on when you've got more time to dedicate.
