Is he talking about an iqp position, or the structure with c4-c5 ?
Pawn Structure Chess
Soltis was talking about the transposition of the Queen's Gambit Declined into the Panov Botvinnik Attack variation of the Caro Kann Defense, not the isolated queen's pawn position--IQP. I am seeking actual game examples of this since Soltis does not provide any in his book Pawn Structure Chess.Â
check this thread, it is mentioned http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessopening?eco=b14&kpage=1#kibitzing

They mention that its not an EXACT transposition ---> "It's not identical...in the Panov-Botvinnik white has no e pawn after the exchange, but in the Queen's Gambit that pawn remains."

Here is a transposition from a center counter

According to Soltis' book one can arrive at the Panov Botvinnik pawn structure through some lines of the Queen's Gambit Declined but he doesn't give any examples. Does anyone have any examples of this?
