If you are doing a hobby solely for the money there is something wrong.
I think I said it another thread, if you want sharp, interesting play then just look at Blitz and Rapid championships.
Feel free to bet money in your chess games, for me it would just make losing games painful when it should be a learning experience, not a traumatic event.
