At your level, everyone should play on until the end.
People who keep playing even from a losing position...
Deflecting doesnt change the fact that anyone at your level should play on, no matter what. And all i meant by my comment is that mistake get made, won games get lost, lost games get won.
I call... hacks!
Also Fisheyedfools... your profile starts with a loooooong whiney rant. It's not that serious bro.
At any rate, your forum seems quite whiney as well.

Haha! What's with all of the sassy little geeks on this site?
The fact that you guys put so much of your self worth on chess ratings is very telling.

Impressive!
No, I'm neither salty nor whining, I was genuinely curious as to why. I didn't think pulling wins from a loss position happened frequently enough to justify it. Unless of course it's 1 minute games where anything could happen.
If I lose a queen or something because my mind wasn't working that game I say: "*beep* that" and let it go. Especially if my opponent has mating material and I'm down to a lonely king.
I'm not gonna endure a slow, painful, death. I'll pull the trigger myself!

Ima guar. Ito Rey Quava. Let moi see... 1/2 of my won games in 1 tournament... were from losing position. (2/4)
I beat a class A from a losing position. Down two pawns, you can draw rook endgames. Plilidor position. Even Carlsen makes mistakes. People get haughty. Need I say more?
Can you see the difference between just losing and clearly losing positions? Someone did some statistics and found people generally start to resign when the evaluation is -7 or so. Nobody resigns just because of piece loss especially when opponents king is vulnerable.
In the second game, after 17. f4, black should look for the safest and most boring move. 17. ... Qh5. So, now that the queens are gone, how do you feel about continuing? There are no more threats, black can continue in a superboring way where every piece exchange is a threat.
Why do you do it?
I mean, I assume the point is to try to pull some sort of lucky stalemate, but unless your opponent is a beginner (in which case they probably would not be beating you in the first place) pulling a stalemate is highly unlikely. Why not cut your losses, respectfully resign and play a new game?
