Petition for US Chess Team to Visit the White House

@erik - maybe chess.com could help push it faster via news?
Excellent point.
Plus, I think it is good for chess.com that the Olympic Champions would get some publicity.

Funny that you should mention it... Hikaru Nakamura did visit the White House after his WCC win, where he was congratulated by President Obama and President-elect Clinton.

Do you have a link, because at least one of those facts is already wrong?

I cringe a bit at the thought of the US Team going to meet what I'm sure will be an anti intellectual and anti free thinking administration. Any chance the US Team can be squeezed in before the new guy takes over?

My apologies. I'm sure David did not intend this to turn into a political discussion. I'm off to sign the petition.

WE CAN ALL PULL THIS TOGETHER. Ask this Yahoo Answers so that more people could sign this. Every single one of us should do this.
