Philosophy of Chess

Chess is a game where one day you think you might be getting good, then the next week it's a disaster. I guess that chess is so complicated, computers can beat any human.  

indeed. Nice theme, but somehow lacking. What is Your Chess Philosophy? In Openings, what is it you're looking for? When playing a game, is what you wrote your "Philosophy"? Win, lose? I have my own Chess Philosophy (which I share with my Mentorees) but I'd like it if you would expound on yours. 🤙🏼

btw, engines will always be "better" than us normal players, THAT I can agree with but it is a totally separate forum to contemplate on methinks. Again, dont just be putting it out there... share with us Your Philosophy, my friend. Cool.🤙🏼
