/ping command doesn't work anymore

Another great UI update from the chess.com devs...

/ping command doesn't work anymore. This was one of the most useful commands as it tells you what a player's lag is. When you type the command, chess.com simply eats your message. The only time it works is when you are in a game, and even then, it returns in a weird format, and won't simply tell you the ping of the 2 players in the game with their names.

Also, half the time when you try to accept challenges from the open challenges menu, it returns an error. I'm so glad they changed the font on the currently playing players names though. Life changing.

Chess.com, please hire some competent programmers and fix this.

Also, enjoy the little bullet game.

You can no longer /ping another player nu you should report be able to /ping your own connection. It was changed on purpose.

Not sure exactly what Martin is saying, but if it was changed on purpose, it certainly wasn't done very well. The command list is outdated, and I can still ping other players while I am in the game. In the video I ping Andy Woodward successfully while playing a game. It's also really weird how chess.com just eats my message. It should return an error. There was also no reason to change the format with which it states the ping. The change makes it unnecessarily unclear.

That's all besides the point of, what reason could there possibly be for making such a change. You are simply removing a helpful feature and replacing it with nothing.

@Martin_Stahl

Can anyone from chess.com give a valid reason for this change?
