Pirates are actually the inventors of magnetic chess pieces due to ship motion.
I'm amazed this topic has legs. I mean, by the frequent stumblings forward one can see that they are appropriately wooden, but still.

Pirates in the have introduced chess to the rest, they pirated their chess set, coaches, and books onboard cruise ships and Yatchs off the coast or in the high seas.
To date, That is the chess culture that rooted from them!
I remember this thread, it was because yeres kept calling us pirates. That guy's clogs are prolly popped by this point. What a sad thought.

The only way to play Chess with a Pirate is very very carefully because you know that he has his Cutlass with him all of the time ( and no I'm NOT referring to a Oldsmobile car ).
