let your Grandfather win sometimes . . .
I used to lose a lot against my grandfather. My first win against him was when i was 7, and it was because we played on a very small chessboard, and he thought about one of the bishops that it's a pawn. That is how i checkmated him. But now, i can easily win against him.

MY GRANDSON kAI AT 2 1/2 YEARS OLD. hE NOW IS 23 GRADUATE OF UCLA IN THREE YEARS.
Here’s a rough breakdown of how our game went:
5 minutes in and I take his queen.
Grandpa: Oh my god I was distracted. I was distracted.
Me: *sacks my rook to help him out cuz he’s losing*
Grandpa: It’s a trap isn’t it? I’m not taking the castle!
Grandpa: No wait can I go back? Oh god I screwed up.
Grandpa takes my horse.
Grandpa: Oh, well what can you do haha
Five minutes later: Grandpa: Goddamit I’m not playing with u anymore.
