you give a 10 year old unrestricted internet access they will have seen much worse than anything you can imagine. obviously a chess site shoudnt allow such content here but all you make it sound like kids are these innocent little angels. This generation of brats learned santa claus aint real way before you did.

But there can be a balance? Like curse words can be safely learned by kids at an early age (they already do) but extremely graphic shock-level content is potentially traumatic for kids to see because they may imagine it happening to them.
They can, but it largely depends on WHO teaches them.

I think chess.com should have an algorithm that inmediately sorts out these types of profile pictures.
Two days ago, I had the pleasure of having as an opponent a player who posted an explicit pornographic photo on his wall. I didn't accept the game, but reported him immediately. The player continued to play, and for the next 4-5 hours nothing happened. Yet, ten minutes ago I got a player who also has a porn photo, I played the game. If anyone is interested this is the last player I played with. I would like to thank chess.com for this honor.
