Playing Against Computer Rating vs OTB rating

Anyone played against the computer on chess tempo dot com? (Or is playing against any computer about the same?)

If so, how would you say your rating playing against a computer is, compared with your actual OTB rating would be?

(i know, it's probably a silly theoretical question, but since i've played very little OTB, am wondering how these ratings compare)

Yes, it is a silly question to ask here. Why not ask it on the chesstempo site?

Based on a scientific survey of 1 game, which I won, even though I was losing, it evidently has a random bad move generator and there is no way to change its playing strength that I could see.

If it is telling you that you are a Grandmaster, I wouldn't quit my day job yet.

I dunno. I havent played at chesstempo.

Hard to say in general. Both give very different games. I find endgames harder against a computer as they 'see' more of the board than a human. You have to play very correctly against them. I know that as humans tire they will start to overlook end moves and give up some easy pieces.

In your heart, you just kind of know your level

You don't need anyone or computer to tell you what you already know
