I think I would think I was white every time I played if I with white on the bottom, and I've actually been wondering why anyone would do that.
Playing with White Always on the Bottom

I do this OTB with friends with both colours; it gives an interesting perspective on just how well our sacrificial attacks work, since we can see the defences from the viewpoint of the beseiged general.

I just started trying this. Anyone else do this?
Black supremacists?
More seriously, no, but I do flip the board sometimes.
And by that, I don't mean the "Tipitova Defence", I mean using the "flip board" feature, which actually merely rotates the board around its... z axis? That one, anyway. Then I see "If I were in this position, what would I least want my opponent to do?"
I just started trying this. Anyone else do this? I'm guessing it will help my calculation skills because when I have the black pieces it's as if I'm the opponent. Thoughts?
