I've played against 1...b6 once before like you did and I think it's just the wrong way to play against it because somehow black seems to take over and grab pawns and before you know you've lost.

Possibly you are right but I actually prefer my position out of the opening and into the middle game. Really the issues arose when he grabbed the initiative.

This thread should really be in the games analysis forum. Just sayin'.
Your f4 move looked premature, but it might be OK.
This is my game against a national master a little above 2200 USCF. I obviously lost but I don't think I played so badly. (I had white). I plan to analyze the game which was very complex and hopefully you can also give me some good analysis.
