True but you can't do that when your hikaru or like top 100 bullet players sure you can trick them if they do a stupid premove but they genuinely play chess

The only thing bullet chess is good for is allowing crap/useless chess players to win games.

Sure but so does rapid

Like those 100s that hang their queen by move 5 in daily

Don't talk nonsense.

Sure buddy I think ik what I have been talking about playing those same type of players (friends ) for years .

Rapid is useful up to a point

Like literally they hang their pieces by move 15 more times than in blitz lmao though blitz gets more chaotic by move 20-25

Classical is a different thing mostly because that is otb tournaments and in person interaction helps

You can have a crap player just push pieces and win on bullet, they can be down 5 pieces, but still win the game on time, that is what makes bullet stupid. It's not even chess in my mind. Blitz and rapid, much harder for crap players to win on time. That is all bullet is good for, it allows crap players to win games.

Sure so then why are most of the top players playing bullet and blitz along all the other time controls it must have something more to it than just crappy chess that's not all it is just cause you think doesn't mean you play well

Bullet is not chess

blueemu

An expert at Bullet named Dwight

Could pre-move faster than light!

He started to play

Quite early one day,

And finished the previous night!

Bullet is a time control in the game of chess, so it is kinda chess. Still hate it with a burning passion though

The_GeckoWZ

Just because one dosent like a time control dosent mean it 'isn't part of the game' it is because it is played on a chess board using chess rules and pieces, but that still means you can have an opinion and hate it or love it

The_GeckoWZ

Basically bullet is marmite

Neithersafenorsus

Sorry to bother you, bullet is chess. Have a nice day!

In bullet chess, one

- plays online withoiut a board.

- 99,5% of the games are played without the presence of an arbiter and safe anticheating measures.

- Illegal moves (which may well cost you time, or the game in OTB chess) cannot be played.

- Stupidities like premoving (which is strictly prohibited at official FIDE online events) is the norm.

In short, it is a computer game which uses quite a few of the chess rules, but it is further than them compared to e.g. Chess960, and is the favorite of people who think they play chess while in reality they are moving their men randomly, and very strong players who can get money by showing off their skills in it.

Bullet is chess, but it doesn’t help you learn strategies and tactics, it is just about moving fast.

Bullet and Blitz are not good for learning chess. They are there for testing what you already know.

Bullet is not chess. But it's still fun to play

What about Chessball?

You set up a chess table with pieces and clock (a very sturdy, heavy-duty clock) in the middle of a football stadium.

White makes his move, presses the clock, and then picks it up and THROWS it as far down-field as he can (but not out-of-bounds!).

Black must now run after the clock, bring it back to the board (still ticking), sit down, make his own move, press the clock and then pick it up and THROW it down-field...

Is this chess?

That's a chsss variant like chessboxing still sort of chess but it isn't the same thing as bullet blitz or rapid since those are all time controls not variants

The main reason daily is more of a variant then any of the other time controls is you can study mid game which you can't do normally even if daily is still chess
