do you mean "points?" or "rating?" points are awarded based on contributions to forums. ratings are based on performance in the games. hope this helps.
I think you mean ratings, if you have say a 1200 rating and you beat a player of 1500 rating you would get a lot of points, if you beat a player of say 800 you would get very little.
