I just started Polgar's mammoth 5334 problem book. Breezed thru the mate-in-1s as expected, and then found the mate in 2-s remarkably tricky - it's gonna take a long time to get thru this thing!

For inspiration, has anyone else done most or all of this book, and how'd it affect your rating?

I bought it on audiotape. I play it while I'm sleeping.

This morning I woke up and my rating was 50 points higher.

I think I'm about a fifth of the way through. I couldn't say how much or how little it has improved my game. It probably just helps you to see basic mating possibilities quicker, but not much more than that.
