Unfortunately, we missed that chance, so 4.Bd3 

That's an interesting move Pfren.  Due to the Black pawn on b5 it suffers from neither of the usual drawbacks of the Pseudo-Tromp (...Qb6 does not hit b2 and ...Qa5 does not hit g5)

I normally play the Trompowsky as white. Ok, so which move, e3, Bd3 or Bg5?

After 1.d4 b5 2.Bg5 Black must play 2...f6 and ...Kf7 so that he is not outdone.

I'll give you guys a bit more time to finalize votes.

4.Bd3 with a following c3 + Qe2 is the standard setup here.
