positional help

Probably any chess book on "positional factors" would be useful. My personal preference for this response is Pawn Power In Chess (Kmoch), but only because I am currently reading that book now.

I say this book - not because of its focus on positional elements, but because of its focus on pawns. The core to positional elements is probably connected to pawn structure and so it only makes sense that better understanding pawns would in-turn help you understand positional motifs grin.png

ok, so i need help. but, i actually know what i need help with. i need help with knowing how to improve my position. i guess i know that you need to like double your rooks, and not block your bishops with your pawns, but i need to know more so that i can improve. and i especially need help with closed games, because i am really bad at playing closed positions. can anyone help me or reccomend some good books?

look at your pieces. they suck. make them not suck.
