possible glitch?

ok, don't know how savvy folks are with the move descriptions, but i just saw something that didn't compute with me and i'll lay it out two different ways so you can understand what i'm talking about

I'm white and opponent is black here is the moves

1 d4  Nf6

2 Bf4  d6

3 c3  b6

4  Qa4  c6

5  g3  Bb7

6  Bh3  b5

7  Qb3  a5

8  c4  a4

9  Qe  Qa5+

10 b4  axb3+

ok, so here i am got his queen on far left in diagnal check of my king, i move my pawn up to block and now my pawn is sitting on same line as opponents pawn and at diagnal to the queen.  this guy moves his pawn diagnally under my pawn and my pawn disapears, i may just be stupid but i didn't think that moving under a piece would make yours disapear, i thought to take a piece you had to move onto that pieces square.  or is there some underlying rule aobut a pawn moving behind another pawn in it's own row grounds for taking the piece or something?

if you can understand all that and have an answer for me please post a reply

En passant

i just researched the move and found my answer, if your pawn moves two spaces on it's first move then another pawn can take it as if it had moved only one

Yes that's en passant, a special rule on pawn captures.  Okay now that we know...axb3 or Qxb4 loses the pawn anyway but axb3 is stronger because it's a discovered check followed by b3-b2 threatening the rook if white allows it.  I don't know how your game went but...there's no glitch.
