So somehow I lost almost 350 rating points and have lost the ability to see the board and somehow I cannot calculate anymore it's almost as if all my training was for nothing. Somethings I think likely explain this phenomena, is that the board positions in chess960 have temporarily affected my pattern recognition to where I am unable to calculate typical chess themes, making it very difficult to make sense of the board. This happended today after I was well rested I was getting outplayed by some of the worst chess players this website has to offer I blocked like most of them because of horribly they are. I showed my coach and he was also intrigued. So far I've been focusing on e4 with a night move but even this consistency does not solve the problem of the chaos in chess960 most of the positions are incredibly incredibly hard to evaluate.  Almost to the point that I feel like I do not understand anything.

In terms of chess Aphasia It's not clear to me why this has happended or why this would be an issue when the same tactical themes should apply. But either way the decrease in play is simply due to the an inability to see typical tactical themes that I've seen before. Like literally I have started feeling very fatigued chess960 since it requires much much much more analysis and positional understanding than normal chess. From the hundreds of games I've played chess960 is way harder than normal chess. But to be honest I think it's a flawed and crappy game. Half of the games your pieces are almost never defended and you always end up with a few bad pieces so you can't really make any type of plan because of the chaos of chess960 so in this context it's likely that bobby fischer is wrong it's not a better game in my opinion. Either-way I intend to get 2000+ in it. I'm sure my chess rating will return to normal even though I have chess aphasia right now. I've been wondering if I had a stroke or something like the quality in play has dropped by almost 50% the loss in skill is shocking. My current thoughts

I'm likely going to write a guide on how to play ches960 once I hit about 1800 the positions in much of 960 make it difficult to win games due to e4 and d4 being incorrect thus challenging the center is not always reliable

Kasparov mentioned 20 years ago that it might've made sense to use 5% of all the possible setups that kinda fit the usual chess layout. But his idea never really took off.

I just tested normal chess and my performance as a little slow but my pattern recognition is normal it seems so something about the setup on chess960 seems to effect tactical identification it seems. I see WAAY more tactics it's not even funny. Like it's effortless compared to fischerrandom I doubt it's gonna catch on the game is waay harder and much less fun tbh. Im only gonna play it just to improve creativity.

Kasparov threw out a middle-ground idea since about 95% of all the setups were like a thorn in the eye.

Ya for the average person it's not gonna be good for your chess play imo.
