Premoves are a blight on Bullet Chess.  The only thing they add is the ability to turn a 1 0 bullet match in a 2 1 Bullet match (for one or either player).

Premoves are a fking joke in any time control under 3 minutes.

I really like premoves in bullet chess. I am one of those people "who abuse them", but I don't have a moral objection to it. The reason is that that my opponent (or myself) is expected to win in the allotted time. If they are just up material but are running out of time themselves, I will spam premoves and think "show me". There's no reason why they shouldn't also be able to counter with premoves and finish the game.

Alternate situation: material is even but I have 2 seconds on the clock and opponent has 16 seconds. I can and have danced out of this with premoves, usually losing some material in the process but winning with time. But the opponent should have been able to do something with those 16 seconds rather than squander them with the assumption that my time is just going to run out.

It also just feels good to use them, especially in midgame. Especially in longer games, when you find a safe premove, it's an entertaining psychological tactic to have a move bounce back in someone's face after they spent a few minutes thinking about it.

I only learned about premoves about a week ago (when joining this site), and meanwhile have been playing chess on and off for about 25 years.  I wish I knew about this concept sooner as I would have enjoyed chess more.

Don't hate on premoves just learn how to fight back ~ or play longer games.

premoves that have my approval, is those where the opponent start with a material loss of which they cannot recover from.
