Profundity in the Forums
When I first saw the title I thought it said "profanity in the forums," which is why I clicked on it.
lol looks like I predicted something:

"No one has ever been angry at another human being - we’re only angry at our story of them." - Byron Katie
Ah, at last, a page for aphorisms. Here's one I like.
"From the crooked timber of humanity; nothing straight was ever hewn".
In death, we finally desire nothing...
How would you know this? :)
When dead then presumably we ARE nothing. So why then would we desire it? Also, if we're nothing (dead), then how could we desire if we didn't exist? Desire presupposes existance.
I hope this SEEMS profound and would therefore contribute to this topic.
Uhhh, I think the quote means: once we're dead, we are free from desire.
"Ah! Don't say you agree with me. When people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong." - Oscar Wilde
Could we have more profundity in the forums?
I can't decide if this is a 'face value' question, or sarcasm!
Twas a play on words, but I think there's actually some value in it. See? The people are lining in up in droves to share their profound knowledges.

+1 :)
When we die we go back to the place we were before we were born. How do we know if there is desire or not?
We're all living and dying right now! Where are we? Where are we going? ahhhhhhh

True, we don't/can't know this.
We desire what we don't have. So if we were death, we would desire life. (Maybe this is how we came into existence in the first place; desire is a VERY interesting thing.)
Human beings in a mob. What's a mob to a King? What's a King to a God? What's a God to a non-believer?
